2. I agree with Carol- I have many gay male friends most of whom are as uninterested in fashion as straight men- my only friend who is a male clothes horse who is given to make remarks on womens clothing is straight

5. I read this a couple hours ago, and wondered how PB knew he was gay.

   Wow–cord skirts are a sin? Who knew– all those years ago– that our senior cords were sordid?

6. I knew he was gay because I’m in the gay community and have been all my life, and because I know gay humor when I see it. His sassy comeback is the oldest trope in the book: mocking of hatred by disarming the enemy with campy bitchery, particularly about clothing. *rolls eyes, two snaps up*

    And before you ask, yes, there is a time and a place to wear a monk-style robe. But out on a public street is not the place, any time!
