Love the mossy green. And these look fantastic on. I know ’cause I tried ’em on in Chicago. A girl can dream. These would be fantastic church shoes. Amazingly comfortable (seriously, even for my messed up tootsies), sturdy, understated but fashioning, and an interesting neutral that goes with EVERYTHING.

Seriously, if you wanted to do something interesting you could build a look entirely from amazing shoes and black suits. I’d love to be that brave. You could wear a designer like Fleuvog as a sort of walking art collection. Of course you could only buy one pair a year, but there’s nothing wrong with that.
I’m dizzy with shoe lust over these boots.
I once had boots like that last pair. They were a flaming nuisance to put on because you had to adjust the lacing in three places before you could hook the laces at the top.
Men are so lucky. They don’t have to wear shoes with stilts under the heels.

I’m looking forward to a very stressful fall and have promised myself a pair of Fluevogs as a reward. I’ll have a lot of meetings, but expect that I’ll just drift thought them in a cloud of hip-ness. I think they’re pretty cute. I think garish and weird depends on what you’re used to seeing. I’m in Munich right now, and I’m seeing women my mother’s age (60 ish) wearing shoes that would be considered more for the teens and twenties crowd in the states. (Specifically, I’m thinking of those boot/sandal hybrids).
Oh good, that’s all I need – an expensive new yearning.
