Another hot-day whine for you:
HOW THE HECK AM I SUPPOSED TO KEEP HATING CROCS WHEN THEY COME OUT WITH AWESOME STYLES LIKE THIS?

[These are $200, so we can scoff at the price. Are they leather? If not, yougottalottanerve, Crocs.]

But these are just super-cute for about $40.
Well shut my mouth and damn my eye and other random expressions. Shuck my clam and beat my rug. Dang.

I hear ya about the heat – I’m vacationing up on Cape Cod for the first time, after a friend’s wedding – and seriously, my husband should have checked to see whether the house we rented had air-conditioning!! And the no-see-ums up here are horrid right now. I bet I have 60 bug bites on my body, which makes the thought of wearing a skirt to church on sunday slightly less appetizing, what with the red welts and all… (here ends heat rant)
But as far as the crocs go, I have the pair of black sandals you posted. Super comfortable and cute, but I’m struggling to get over the loud rubber “thwock” sounds when I walk in them…
This is what you need for the bugs–http://www.rei.com/product/768970.
Still not sure about the Crocs, but I am loving a pair of Fit Flops that don’t have the Barney Rubble thing going on, and don’t have the big silly logo:

Dear PeaceBang,
What a wonderful blog! I think that it is a great idea to share “beauty tips” with female clergy, who for years have only had male clergy as role models (in terms of dress).
Thanks for your insights.
I too am a “blogger” and have started a site called, “Shepastor.”
It is a blog designed to encourage, inspire and uplift female clergy.
Please stop by and encourage others to do the same!

Bless you!
Chris
I think the new styles are cute, too!
I love my ugly crocs for running out to feed the dog, they are so comfy. Of course I live in the country and my nearest neighbor is miles away 😉
