Standing outside a church today after officiating at a funeral on behalf of a colleague who was unavailable. Woman with tweenager daughter stops to chat with me. We exchange pleasantries and then young girl shyly murmurs something to her mom. Her mother smiles and turns to share what the kid has said with me. I’m just certain that it’s going to be something along the lines of “I didn’t know women could be priests.”
But no, I’m wrong.
Mom says, “She thinks your nail polish is really cool.”

LOL. When I candidated at my current congregation, when they were having the discussion preceding the vote on whether or not to extend the call, I’m told one of the high school girls stood up and said, “We really like her shoes.” Score one for Payless!
My favorite OPI color (which I haven’t found again) is Yes We Can Can [That’s because it’s actually called “Yes… I Can Can.” It was from the French line that had the color Eiffel For You and We’ll Always Have Paris. Available online for $6.99 and a great neutral pink. – PB]
