Well, you could just knock me over with a FEATHER!
Pigeons, I just can’t tell you how shocked and thrilled I was to receive an early morning phone call informing me that I have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize! I mean… little ole me? Simply trying to do my part to curtail the proliferation of frump in our troubled world? Surely this isn’t an award for actual accomplishments, but rather a generous gesture of approval for the work I am trying to do despite terrific odds.
Whatever the reason, I am TRULY humbled. There are so many worthier recipients. Tim Gunn, for one. The co-hosts of “What Not To Wear” — how is it that they were overlooked while I was granted this stupendous honor?
Onward with the work, say I. I must not allow all the attention from this award to keep me from my task.
Just two questions: Do you think it would be too much to wear a tiara to the ceremony in Oslo? Or Sweden (those Scandanavian countries are darling, but I can never tell them apart!)?
And can someone do the math for me: how many pairs of Jimmy Choos can I buy with 1.4 million dollars?

It’s very simple:
The Nobel Peace Prize is presented in Oslo, Norway, by His Majesty the King of Norway, Harald V.
The rest of them, Physics, Medicine, Chemistry, Litterature and the Economy Prize are presented i Stockholm, Sweden, by His Majesty the King of Sweden, Carl XVI Gustaf.

I just applied for next year’s prize. Probably not wear the tiara, though.
Since the men wear white tie and tails, a tiara would be highly appropriate, I think, to highlight your glistening hair. Your good one of course, out of the vault. No paste. Congratulations!

White tie and tails are only worn at the ceremony and banquet in Stockholm, but if you do get to go, do wear a tiara!
The ceremony and dinner in Oslo is a black tie-affair… No tiaras there.
