CR asked this question a few days ago, so I thought I’d post a few of my favorite options from my own closet:

(Closer look)

(I don’t own these, but they would look amazing with summer whites)
Two-toned bone pumps with square toe;
Bronze Mary Janes (great with suits);
Bronze dressy pump with jewel detail and strap;
Black shoe-bootie ( I would wear these with a white wool suit and carry a black patent leather clutch);
Nude Bandolino pump.
It’s all about texture, style and weight of fabrics and garments. Of course you wouldn’t wear a white dress with a black shoe-bootie, but you might layer that white dress with a black or bright green or charcoal cardigan, add a great ethnic scarf, add opaque black tights and wear THAT with the black booties.
You wouldn’t wear a gauzy white summer skirt with the bronze dressy pumps. But you could certainly wear a winter white woolen skirt with a subtly patterned tight with the bronze Mary Janes and a sweater up top for the fall or winter.
You could wear the Bandolino pumps with a pair of fantastic white trousers, a denim jacket and patterned dressy T-shirt under that. Gold hoop earrings, hair pulled back, a bold lipstick, you’re smashing.
If you feel hopelessly confused by all of this, consult the latest In Style or Glamour. Study. Then take some chances.

I am totally coveting those bronze mary janes right now. [What size are you? They’re 6.5 and I wear the so rarely that hell, I’d sell ’em to you! They actually make my feet look too tiny. – PB]
I’m LOVING your shoes, PB – so chic!
Sigh… I am afraid with a recent injury to my knee I can’t wear heels any more. (I’m in rehab hoping to postpone surgery as long as possible.)
The very pointy-toed flats which are SOoo kickin’ make my size 10 feet look like the crew left me in the moorings. Am I doomed to ballet slipper type shoes? I know this season of life isn’t forever, but I would love ideas for dressy FLATS since I am unfortunately not going to be wearing heels for a while. I saw your “orca” shoes and I’m thinking I will go that direction…
I wear chinos or casual slacks for Sundays (I’m still at the Holy Church of the Uber-Casual) but do have the occasional fest or event where I’m in a suit.
In th emean time, I will drool with appreciation over those CUTE CUTE CUTE shoes!!!!
[Hi Deb. Have you checked the archives? – PB]
