I just want to go on record as saying that I HATE all the shoes this season. I do not have HOURS IN MY DAY to do up all the complicated little ties and buckles on all the straps all shoes suddenly have, I can’t keep a shoe on my damn FOOT if there’s just a strap around my ANKLE and nothing around the HEEL. It’s all just a recipe for a BROKEN LEG, if you ask me.
Let’s also talk about the WOODEN SOLES AND HEELS that are as comfortable as walking on a BOOKSHELF and if I wanted to dress like a little Dutch child in wooden clogs I’d let you know, thank you very much, shoe designing people.
Would it KILL you to design cute shoes that come in colors other than brown and black and tan? Some of us would certainly APPRECIATE it.
That’s all for now. You can tell I’m IRRITATED when I have to USE CAPS to make my POINT.

I love being retired and out of the public eye. I just wear the same shoes I’ve had for years. I’m like the Beacon Hill ladies: “My dear, we don’t BUY our hats. We HAVE our hats.”
I was *so hoping you’d have pics of the offending footwear. 😉
I recently bought some really lovely, bright, and comfortable shoes from Modcloth.com as well as from Dillards.com (Arturo Chiang Janel Slingback Shooties as well as 2 pairs of studded T-strap heels that are incredibly comfortable and really pretty in interesting colors.). FYI Friends, Dillards is currently having their 50% off annual shoe sale.
I hear ya. These are my very favorite shoes for summer. I’ve bought four pairs now: faux snake, black, and dark brown last summer, then light brown for this summer. I wear them to work every single day. They are beyond comfortable, lace up just like a regular shoe, and are both professional-looking and stylish. My only complaint is that they do wear out quickly – with daily use they might last three months without frayed stitching. They are pretty cheap so I just buy multiples and rotate them through the summer. I could only find one color in my size and I snapped them up right away. Love your blog!

Those are super cute and on point for current styles. I always worry about man-made shoes, though — they don’t make your feet sweat and the color doesn’t run and stain your skin? Good to know!
