Palm Sunday Check-In

Here’s a raggedy, smeary, tired PeaceBang checking in with you all!

This is what I wore today. It was the first day of spring! I did a big bump hairdo for fun and volume, chose a super comfortable skirt by Eloquii that has a finished wide elastic waistband (yay! no buttons or zippers), a bright cardi that I got at Macy’s a thousand years ago (Charter Club), a necklace from an African artist that I felt went really nicely with the bold lines of the skirt, turquoise tights and comfortable Fluevog boots that have a little heel and look nice under a robe, but that I can stand around in comfortably for a couple of hours. Make-up is always a bit exaggerated for the video camera, as I preach in fairly dim lighting and like my features to be visible.

  1. Ohhh. Hair bands… They have their purpose: inside a bun, or for other structural up-do’s. But for “I’m gonna put this hair out of my way and go to bed now” I am a firm believer in the frumpy scrunchie. Soft and forgiving and gentle on the hair and so much less tangling, especially for those of us with the kind of curly hair that knots up three minutes out of the shower.

I hope Mr. Max is feeling better after his bread adventure.

  2. As soon as you said that Max was whimpering, after the bread narrative, I *knew* what was coming! Oh lordy…Blessed Holy Week to you and your beloveds!

  3. I’m glad Max is feeling better. I hope you find peaceful rest as we continue through this Holy Week. I’m in my first Holy Week journey with a new church on the other side of the country from where I was last year. We are sharing in the steps of Jesus with services every day…something that is very new for the congregation and the response has been incredible.

Please be sure to care for yourself and get the rest you need. And I hope you are taking time off after Holy Week or at least slowing down a bit, to make sure you are the best you can be.

    Much love, kiss of peace,

    Andrea+

  4. Oops, never mind. Your brow video came up after this video ended. Thanks!
