I reckon quite a few of us will be laying hands on animalitos tomorrow, it being St. Francis Day and all. It’s such a maniac service with all the woofers and crawlers and kids and I just love it.
I have no special recommendations except to remind us all to try to be the calm, supportive center in the midst of a lot of really unpredictable motion.
Tuck a clean hankie into your pocket.
Put a few handiwipes behind the pulpit or lectern.
Take your Claritin if you need to!
Reassure nervous lay people.
Be very careful when laying on of hands.
Don’t get bitten or peed on if you can help it.
God bless the beasts and children and all of you, dears!

I am a chaplain at a large medical center. I wear ponte knit dresses with long cardigans or a skirt/sweater. For shoes I wear Aetrex Mary Jane’s and if I need something dressier, I opt for Ros Hommerson 1 inch black pumps.

The pumps are comfortable in spite of having bunions.
In winter, I have worn New Balance in the rain/snow; this is after I fell in the street in my boots – no heels, just flat boots. (I was immediately attended by a physician and nurse; so thankful for them and for not being run over – didn’t want to end up in my own trauma unit).
I do wear black slacks with a bit of stretch in the winter with various shirts/jackets/sweaters.
J. Jill has machine-wash ponte knit/wearever type clothing to mix and match. They have end if season clearance sales.
This may not be helpful for the specific question, but thought I would offer it for others, if interested.
Mary Beth, I also fell last winter and got Yaktrax for stability- they are awesome! https://www.yaktrax.com/
