Don’t you hate it when you take the elastic from your ponytail and you take off a hunk of hair with it?
Me, too! That’s why I bought some of these purty little satiny hair elastics from Mane Message. They work great, they’re lovely, and they don’t damage your hair. They work the same as a hair elastic but are much gentler. I’m an instant fan. I threw my hair up in a messy top bun in one of these early this afternoon and here we are past 11pm and the bun is still in place. Also: yay for small businesses!

I had an interesting hair thing-y problem this morning. Jury duty.
It seemed like Amish hairpins or my hair sticks or wooden hair forks might get confiscated as weapons. (My hair is getting toward waist length and little bobbie pins will not hold it up.) I ended up with a long braid, folded in half, and held it to the back of my head with a giant plastic claw clip. [Oh my goodness! Yes, I bet hair pins would also be confiscated for prison visits. Good point! – PB]
