Green Tea, and PB Halo of Praise for Great Web Site (Mellow Monk Tea)

Every now and then I find a web site that has such a perfect integration of mission, spirit and image that I have to send out a special PeaceBang shout-out.

Today that site is not a church or religious site but an artisan tea maker, Mellow Monk. I found them while googling “Green tea” for someone who was trying to remember what kind of Japanese tea has a nutty flavor. I love a good afternoon Google challenge (also a procrastination method, of course) and I happened on this little company.

Coincidentally, I was having dinner last night with two gal pals, one of whom gave up coffee this year and was telling my Mary Lou’s Coffee-lovin’ friend and me how much she has come to love green tea. While I did successfully quit the coffee habit when I was struggling with chronic anxiety and panic attacks some years ago, I am BACK on the brew and can’t imagine a day without my cup of French Roast. Just one cup or two at the most. And a cup of English Breakfast tea in the afternoon.

However, green tea is very good for you, as you may already know, and by all means investigate it and incorporate it into your lovely day if you’re so inclined. If you’re already a connoisseur of green tea, perhaps you’d like to sample some of Mellow Monk’s product. I’ve never seen or tasted any, but they certainly have a beautiful online presence.

Look at this great little logo. Eye-catching, simple, culturally resonant, cute, and soothing color.

Beautiful photos of their products, too.

Take a look around this website. It’s clear, informative, passionate and communicative, easy to read, lots of white space, natural colors that appeal to the eye and harmonize with their mission and image, and featuring photos of people and plants. A lot to admire here. If I ever decide to drink green tea I will certainly become a customer.
