HERE’s how to wear a blaring yellow Standing on the Side of Love T-shirt and look like a presentable adult and serious leader while doing so:
Why, it’s Dan Furmansky, the Campaign Manager for the Standing On the Side of Love Campaign! As you may recall, PeaceBang went on a bit of a tear recently over the horriblocity of the SOSL clergy shirts.
I don’t think Dan is an ordained clergyman, but he looks like a cool religious leader here. He’s got the “team colors” on, but he’s got a jacket over the T-shirt, and it works. Knowing that he’s covering up the campaign slogan with his jacket, he smartly puts a campaign button on so people can read it, all of which prevents him from having to whip open his jacket to go, “THIS IS WHAT I’M ABOUT, PEOPLE.”
He also has great hair. Well-played.

I agree, I think he looks good. rev. rick hoyt also manages to look like an approachable, hip pastor when he wears the SSL T-shirt.
What do you think about women clergy and that T-shirt?
I find it really hard to find an SSL shirt that fits right, and I’ve worried before that if I put a jacket over it I’m gonna look too miami vice.
