Hey Vixen – Thanks so much for this. So many times I come home from church now & am so wiped out that I watch videos and half-nap. Not looking forward to the Sundays I’m ON AGAIN, but they will definitely come. And you’re so durn brave for putting your less-than-completely made-up face out there for the world to see and learn from your process. The before & after is very impressive. It’s also cool that on the you tube queue, “up next” is Teenage Wasteland. Did you plan that, or what?

I don’t like how SCREAMING the lip gloss looks on this video. Bad lighting, girls and boys. It’s much less SCREAMING in real life, I promise.

Cool to hear your spoken voice after so much of your written voice. Even being worn out, you speak clearly and with a nice mature sound (the last blogger whose voice I heard had a bit of a girly/ immature sound and a nasal twang).
Love it ! For hydration, I copy French women and spritz with Evian. (well, with my supermarket’s own brand…)

I would love to see some additional practical tips on lipstick for the lipstick-ignorant among us. I have a bunch of shades, some of which look ok, but I default to tinted chapstick because I’m afraid lipstick will smear, I’m not sure how to put it on properly or choose a good color, etc. It’s a real hole in my (admittedly understated) makeup routine, but yours looks so good I’d like to try it again.
Courtney – stop worrying and just do it! It’s really not rocket science – try some things and keep looking in the mirror as you go through the day. See how quickly PB did her lipgloss – you can do the same 🙂
as far as lipstick goes, I always advocate going to someone like Bobbi Brown to get one good subtle color that is only slightly different than your actual lips to start with. This will be harder to mess up–and it is REALLY hard to get the color right in the store. One expensive lipstick turns out to be a bargain after you buy a few that flop.
Oooooh! I love Black Honey eyeliner. It is my go-to shade. Dark enough to do it’s job, but light enough for we super fair ladies. If it came in a pencil I would never need to shop for eyeliner again.
