Great Guy Looks

Oh, my sweet people, PeaceBang has been SO enjoying the fashionable people of London. The young women are a riot of clashing punked out floral prints (total 80’s revival here) but as fun as that is, it’s not something that interests you or me, sisters and brothers in ministry. Here I present to you, Inspiring Men of London (as always, click on the image to enlarge):

Could be that he’s straight up gorgeous, but here jeans are just fine as professional wear.

Again, men in jeans looking super. Look how put together they are. Belts, sweaters, great sports jacket, terrific shoes. They haven’t just slapped a rumpled sweater on top and gone out the door, and neither should you, boys. Also, they look like ADULTS, don’t they. Not like high school boys in middle aged bodies. No sports jerseys or baseball caps or t-shirts with slogans. Actually like an ADULT with whom you could trust your spiritual life. AHEM.

As this gent came striding down the street I fell straightaway in love with him. Good Lord, what presence! And the facial hair is amah-zing.

Love the shirt. LOVE the shirt.

Lookit Mr. Neutrals here! All comfy for a hot day (which we haven’t had since I got here, but never you mind that). Notice that his garments have actually been IRONED. Which means that he looks neat and presentable. Notice also that he is wearing comfortable cotton but not in riotous, ugly prints that would cause one’s eyes to bleed. If I get a visit from my minister I don’t really want to be assaulted by his shirt fabric, but maybe that’s just me. (The woman behind him is also a study in calming neutrals.)

Finally, here is a real person I saw at Harrod’s. He is not the latest character by Sascha Baron Cohen. And that’s all I’m going to say because if I say what I really think he might find me and hurt me:

You’re welcome.

  1. The tiger painting behind the last dude almost makes his presence into a piece of art. Certainly evokes a story!

  2. I love a well-dressed gentleman! My father (age 62) is one of the suave-est dressers I know, and he totally rocks the groomed short beard. Thank you for the pics on how to do jeans on men professionally.

  3. Yes, thanks for the photo of adults in jeans. The jeans + rock tshirt + big belly look is totally unappealing and unprofessional. Jeans and a jacket, jeans and a pressed, cuffed shirt, etc = totally solid.
