I think we all wish we were this luminous in our ministry as the good rebbe is here. He is a special one, indeed. The voice, the wisdom shining through the eyes, the deep love… isn’t he like a wonderful, calming, inspiring drug for the soul? Everything about him says Beauty. I just had to share this. Enjoy, darlings.

He is indeed and the rabbis and layfolk he has trained are a gift. Renewal Judaism have enriched my practice in Reconstrucionist and Episcopalian circles.
very lovely- one small quibble – I didn’t like his crack about the KJV re “my cup runneth over” – that’s just a more poetic and visually compelling way of saying what he says it says i.e. my cup is full –
Thank you for posting this. It made my day. It also made me miss my mentors. Perhaps this woman (meaning me) in her mid forties who has been ordained over fifteen years needs a new mentor or two? Where do we find such people when we are no longer in seminary? [Ah, darling… just look around for people you admire and think are cool, and offer support and friendship. I think that’s how it works at this age: and we also have to pick up the mentoring role ourselves! Scary and fun! – PB]
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this. It leadeth me away from the path of craziness.
I was even more impressed by his exegesis of PS 23 than by his outer appearance. Very “easy” talk yet very profound. What a great chrevruta to learn! [Yes, well that was the point I had hoped to make: that the wisdom, depth and love was what made him beautiful. – PB]
