The woman is 77 years old. Bow down, people. Did you see the NAACP Image Awards? A whole lot of awesome going on on the Red Carpet.
This is Miss Tyson from the Image Awards, 2010. Much less striking than the white, but still absolutely working the fabulosity.
But meanwhile, Phylicia Rashad had to go and do this:
Why obliterate your figure in a big velvet Snuggie? This outfit is so clearly stuck in the early 80’s, when Rashad’s hit show was on television and that just makes her look caught in time, and not in a good way. It’s the same problem a lot of ministers have. Update your look! Also, proportions: you don’t wear a big, flowy top AND a big flowy bottom. She’s a tall and striking woman and can carry it off because she has awesome presence and poise, but it’s still dated and frumpifying. That necklace and those shoes are wicked dowdy.
Love the first one! I think a suit can be so much more chic and glam instead of just another floofy ballgown. 🙂
