Scraggly PB

Mon amores!

PeaceBang edges ever closer to finishing her doctoral dissertation. And as she does, her hair gets dryer and more knotted, her outfits more eccentric, and her complexion a disaster.

Full schedule of pastoring and preaching.
Dissertating.
Preparing to deliver an ordination sermon in Washington, DC (hence, air travel in my near future).
Open a show on December 2 (runs one weekend, praise all the gods).
Full house of guests for Thanksgiving. I do all the cooking (well maybe not this year!).
Holidays at church!
And as always…” X The Unknown!”

Life is rich! Life is full! Sing polly wolly doodle all the day!

We’re dancing as fast as we can!

Dear Lord, we would pray right now if we knew quite what to pray for, so let’s just say THANK YOU for giving us such great and meaningful work to do. Amen.

  1. Thank you for great and meaningful work. Thank you for humor and art and theater. Thank you for friends around the Thanksgiving table. Thank you for a nearly completed dissertation. (Yay Peacebang!) Thank you for colleagues who think you’re so awesome they ask you to preach the ordination sermon. Thank you for people who think you’re bright & funny & witty enough that they visit your blog every day. Thank you for everything to be grateful for.

And, perhaps most of all, thank you for those times when we’re just so overwhelmed that we just put it in the hands of God/Mystery/Collective Power of Humanity and say “Here. You take it for a while. I’m going to go nap.”

    Blessings on you.

  2. how do I get tickets for the show, I’d like to see it and (hopefully) introduce myself to you afterward.

  3. I actually managed to protect off enough time today for a long overdue hair appointment, and feel so much more capable of getting through the next funeral. I’m praying for less time spent with the funeral director, as much as I appreciate him.
