Another super vibrant, amazing presence from the literary world is Nicaraguan author and revolutionary mama Giocanda Belli. When I was in Granada, Nicaragua two winters ago for the International Poetry Festival I came upon her working on her laptop in a café and literally gasped. She looked up, smiled, and went back to typing. I surreptitiously took a photo of her and she didn’t mind at all. She is a ROCK STAR of the literary world. Who are the ROCK STARS of the clergy?
