PayPal Mysteries Solved!

HEY! You make me feel like a whoopie pie inside!

I got things worked out with PayPal and found a long list of familiar names of readers who have made contributions and it made me feel so awesome. This will reimburse me for and cover all my site hosting costs for the year and then some. More than that, it gave me that same exact feeling you get when you get together with a friend for lunch and they pick up the tab and say, “You did this-and-such for me, let me get this.”

Some of you mentioned getting together in person. I would really love to. I live south of Boston and every Tuesday night until December I have rehearsal at St. Ignatius on the Boston College campus, so I would be happy to meet you for dinner in that area (Newton/Brighton, etc). Just drop me a line. I have met amazing people through this blog and hope to continue doing so!

Kiss of peace, PB

  1. Hey PB! I love you and your website and you have given me some email advice once, which was helpful. When I went to Nica as a Christian service worker your blog might have kept me sane. Now that I know that your paypal stuff is working, I’ll give a small contribution.

  2. I don’t know what a whoopie pie is…:( but is sounds fun and I’d like some today, please?

  3. I have no car but live in Brighton and know exactly where St. Ignacious Church is. If you should have some sort of dinner get together in my area, please me know I would love to meet you.

  4. I just spelled the church’s name wrong, sorry everyone I guess that proves I’m Episcopalian and have only been inside it twice.

  5. My first gift to you from your Amazon wish list was anonymous, which was just the way I wanted it. I wanted the gift to say, “There are many of us who would love to express our gratitude to you but haven’t figured out how to do it – this could come from any one of us.” So when I sent a second gift from your wish list, I was surprised to receive a gracious thank you note. Ah, well. Anonymity may endure for a night, but identity cometh in the morning….

Don’t stress too hard about all of this; just be assured that you have many supporters out here who even (yes!) pray for you from time to time. Which may be the most valuable gift we can give you.
