None of us should be wearing jeans this light denim to work, even if the jeans are new and nicely styled. They’re just not professional, period. They’re sporty and beyond casual (they’re fine for guys, though). I’m not saying that I haven’t done it when my nicer jeans are dirty, but if I do wear the lighter denim I always make sure to dress them up with something structured and accessorized on top:
NYDJ (not your daughter’s jeans) at Macy*s and Nordstrom are both on sale. They have a trouser style jean that is fantastic – runs a bit big so if you are between sizes, order a size down.
I keep looking for these at Macy’s but have never found them. I wonder if they’re regional?
I’m personally not fond of NYDJ. The rise is too high, plus they have too much spandex, which to me makes them look painted-on tight.
They had them at Natick – but Macy*s does have regional selections.
Agreed that light denim is Not Suitable For Work!
