“Project Runway” – Discuss

Are any of you watching?

Can I just say… WHY, with all the talk about how important a good bra is, was this last episode’s winning outfit all about bouncy bazooms with nary a support in sight? It’s one thing if the judges think that’s fashionable but why the conflicting messages?

And what are they smoking this season, for heaven’s sake!?

Still, I think they’re auf-ing the right designers.

Did that feature on Epperson and his family make you cry, or what? That was one of the most touching things I’ve ever seen on that show.

So who do you like?

  1. At the risk of TMI:

I just got fitted for a bra this week for the first time. Changed my life, seriously. I was wearing the entirely wrong size! Clothes that didn’t fit, do now. I’m wearing a much bigger bra, and look like I lost weight. My back and shoulders feel so much better. I recommend everyone go do this!

  2. This is the first time I’ve watched Project Runway. I’m totally hooked, but spend every week going, “They liked THAT?” I like Ramon’s work, but the green thing he did last week….and everyone loooved it. Same with the suit thing. I thought it was awful.

Yes, I loved that part with Epperson, which did make me want to cry.

This week I was most impressed with Shirin and how she handled the crazy request for a blue jumpsuit by actually handling someone and saying, “Maybe….something else.” Just being able to direct someone into something that suits her better earned my respect.

  3. LOVE Project Runway! I’m normally not into reality tv (who needs to add drama and negativity to their lives?!), but I am hooked!

That scene with Epperson was touching. I loved seeing a man show emotions and vulnerability, especially because he misses his family.

I’m not sure I have a #1 favorite at this point. I’m still learning everyone’s names! I’ve pretty much agreed with all the designers who have been “auf-ed”, though.
