I have loved Diane Rehm’s show for years but I never knew what she looked like until today.

Holy cow! She is SO much more glam than I ever imagined!!
Will knowing what she looks like affect the way I’ll listen to her show in the future? I don’t think so, but given that I’ve always had a mental image of Diane as a kind of small, bespectacled woman with brown hair and sensible shoes, I definitely have some adjusting to do.
From her website,
As you may have heard on-air, Diane caught her heel in the hem of her slacks while dashing across the street on Aug. 20, and cracked her pelvis when she fell. She’ll be recuperating for the next several weeks. If you’d like to send her well wishes, please post them on The Diane Rehm Show Facebook page, or email drshow@wamu.org.
Get well soon, Diane!

One of the proudest moments of my young life was getting on the air as a caller into the Diane Rehm show at the age of 8 or 9. I had a Very Serious Question — about feminism, as I recall — and she and her guest were completely game.
Wow! I love Diane Rehm and now I have a new found adoration for her because she is smart and fashionable!
I LOVE Diane Rehm. I’m sad my local NPR station doesn’t carry it. 🙁 (I know, the interweb, but hearing the broadcast is so much easier). I hope she’s on the mend soon!
No idea who this is …
Quite often, the insulting adage, “(S)he’s got a face made for radio” doesn’t hold true.
I love talk radio so much that I once became accidentally addicted to listening to a radio show every night about men’s hair loss. Not an infomercial, mind you. A whole show on the topic, hosted by two very earnest guys. At first it seemed absurd, and then I remembered how much time women spend talking about weight. I think it’s the male equivalent.
(sorry to generalize!)
