Bag Lust
October 28, 2007 on 11:25 pm | In Accessories | Well, curses. Ya’ll spoke so highly of Franklin Covey bags that I went on their website and looked at the inventory and now I have serious bag lust for this one:![]()
It’s just a fabulous color, it will clash with everything I own but I don’t even care, I love it so much. It’s so distinctive, it’s just the color of Agnes Moorehead’s hair in “Bewitched” so how could I not love it?
But it’s $220, people. Agh. Still, because I don’t generally carry my computer any considerable distance (thanks for caring about my alignment, though, Scott) and because this comes with a detachable shoulder strap, it’s worth holding in the “lust file” for Christmas or for a sale. They do go on sale, right?

Have you looked at lapsack.com? I have no experience with them–but the bags (and “envelopes”) look really cool.

As always, keep an eye on E-Bay — I know they have Franklin Covey bags for sale at a fraction of the price, but I don’t know if the object of your affection is currently one of them. If it isn’t, it probably will be sometime!

They go on sale as soon as the season changes. I’ve never bought a bag online, but there’s a Covey store in my town and the shop clerks always tell me when to expect the sale.
The colors of their bags are just amazing. I just realized I actually have three bags I’ve bought from them. All great colors.

A special savings tip: The UUA is registered at Covey stores for discounts (folks affiliated with the UUA get something like 10% off). I don’t think they check that you actually work for headquarters.

There’s a store at the Pru, darlin’ — so you can shop in person for sales and see the real live color.
