Some Really Bad Hair

Dear ones, it’s not that I don’t trust you.

Really. I swear.

It’s just that… well, we’re ALL impressionable. And when you see fashion icon Sienna Miller looking like this on the cover of Vogue,

sienna.jpg

isn’t it tempting to say to yourself, “Hey! That looks like a really easy hair ‘do! And if it’s on the cover of a major fashion magazine, I bet it’s totally acceptable, too!”

Except that it’s really not. It’s bad enough that who(m)ever did Sienna’s make-up committed serious eyebrow pencil abuse upon her, but that Home of the Whopper mess on the top of her head is a sheer disaster.

I won’t even mention the feathers.

Avert your eyes, my doves. Don’t try this at home. Or, God forbid, church.

(Thanks to the Go Fug Yourselves girls for the photo.)

  1. Miller is supposed to be this “icon” which is weird to me because she’s one of those faces that I can never really tell what she actually looks like. Nothing distinguishing about her face at all to my eyes.

  2. The bun on top of her head is really a disguise for the antenna that she uses to talk to her extra terrestrial family. Yes, Miller is an alien.

  3. Always the fashion maven. I totally concur. (And by the way, it’s whoever. Who is the person who does something and whom is someone who has something done to them.)

    Keep the tips coming.

  4. Andie, thanks for the grammar tip, ’cause even though I was an English major and TAUGHT high school English for six years, I still get ca-fused.

  5. It really is too bad that “fashion” magazines don’t really offer any guidance on how to actually WEAR the clothes or DO the hairstyles. I so long for the Seventeen magazine of my youth, which did this at least part of the time. (Anyone else remember longing for the “back to school” issue all summer?)

As far as grammar goes, sermon writing and the internet have ruined my spelling and grammar. I’m tempted to do continuing ed diagramming sentances and taking spelling tests!

  6. That pile of twigs on Sienna Miller’s head hides the homing device Jude Law installed on her skull. She’ll always go back to him! Though perhaps it’s been malfunctioning of late, leading to some inexcusable public behaviour.
