New Lingo Alert

Oh, pardon me a thousand times. I guess unstructured sweaters are now called OVERPIECES.
Lane Bryant getting all fancy.

They’re still not very FLATTERING, Lane Bryant. But okay, OVERPIECE it is.

  1. Last year they were called “Toppers,” I think. Or the year before.

I find stuff like that useful for casual wear but definitely not a formal look. I might wear the pink one if it came in black. It looks like it has good pockets.

  2. I guess that’s why I can’t ever find anything on the Lane Bryant site; I would call both of those cardigans.

And they are GAWD ugly. I swear, in the year of Our Lord 2018, I should not struggle so much to find decent looking clothes. But it could be worse, I guess. At least they aren’t “cold shoulder”.

OH HECK YES. I was done with “cold shoulder” a long time ago. Ditto for big floppy bell sleeves which, honestly, are wicked cute and I would have worn them 20 years ago, but I work in a hospital and big floppy sleeves are a complete let’s-not-go-there.
