I recently found a pair of Merrill Evera Shift shoes at Marshall’s for $30 and am amazed at how comfortable they are, even for my plantar fascitisy feet. I will be wearing these a lot for church this summer. I can’t say that they’ll be great for tromping around the convention center at GA, but no heel of any kind of going to be that for me.
(If you see me in black trainers or Tevas it’s because I’m in pain and can’t even manage to get around in loafers with gel inserts in them. May the hoof gods smile on us all).
So anyway, Merrill is fabulous and smooches to them, because this a beautiful design. See, comfort and style CAN be done! These are apparently designed especially for commuting by bike, so somebody better tell “young, hipster religious leader” the Reverend Laura Everett about them!

Which Marshall’s? They are awesome. [It was obviously an act of God, because they had 3 pairs in the Swampscott store and one was in my size! Sort of. The other pairs were 9.5 and 10. I think you’re an 8, right? – Vick]
I’m a 10, but Swampscott is far. I’ll stalk my local Marshalls and hope for the best. 🙂
[I will check when I get home. Because there COULD BE A MIRACLE. – Vick]
Nice shoes! Stylish and I bet they’re quite flattering in that tan colour.
This just in: I wore them all morning and they’re very, very comfortable.
