Well, honeys, this pale blush color is ALL THE RAGE for the spring, if you go by the Fashion People, but it doesn’t really look good on anyone but wispy ingenue types and Kerry Washington. I personally think it’s pretty in pictures but terribly unflattering on most complexions, not to mention body types.
Fresh as a little peach, innit. Not for me. Just so not for me. If you can find me a white woman over 40 that this color would flatter, please let me know. I can’t think of any of my acquaintance.
Sometimes when you love a color but know that it would do disastrous things to your face or bod it’s fun to pick it up as an accessory accent:

It is lovely. The other problem I see for professional women is that it could look a little waifish or princess-y. Maybe in a blouse – but on a white woman, you could then have the perception of nudity. Also wrong.
I found a great lightweight blazer in this color last year that I love! I usually wear it with dark colors underneath, which I think helps. I’ll try and get a photo next time I wear it.

As an auburn haired, fair skinned lass with a tendency towards more red in the hair in the summer, I don’t wear very much pink because it just doesn’t look right on me.

I made a sweater jacket in a pale flamingo colour. I would send you a picture if I could figure out how to attach it.
Yes, “pêche” is indeed “peach” in French 🙂 I think the colour is also perhaps a little unpractical for anything you wear on the bottom half. But I look forward to people proving me wrong!
I actually have a maxi skirt this color that I wear with a satin-y tank and jean jacket, a Western belt and boots. Not to church. Well, maybe I did wear it to church once. I’m not sure it would meet with Mama Peacebang’s approval, but it is sort of “me”. I wore it to a rehearsal dinner for a Western theme wedding. And I am from Kansas, so . . . that’s my excuse.

(Many) years ago, I had a blouse this color – matte silk, perfectly tailored. I used to wear it with a black or navy blue “power suit” (it was the late 80s, after all). I’m a brunette, with almost-olive skin, and I loved the color, but I think it mostly worked because it was paired with the black or navy. Can’t imagine wearing an entire ensemble of this color. (But, then again, I’m not “wispy.”)
