Oh, PeaceBang just loves letters like this! Read on!
I recently received a compliment about my clothes that I’d like to thank you for. A few weeks ago I preached at my husband’s church in their contemporary service and helped lead worship at the traditional. We did not wear robes in either service (summer in the south). After the contemporary service a professional woman i know told me that she wished I could tell all clergy women in our Conference area how to dress. I was very intentional about what I chose to wear, being a young female (and 5 months pregnant then!). I snapped some pics to share with you in the hopes you might have a proud auntie moment. I included a cute bump pic just for fun! Enjoy!
Dear Meghan, I am indeed a proud Auntie PeaceBang! I love this outfit. It’s terrific. It’s strong and structured yet with a bit of flouncy detail that is subtle, feminizing and flattering. Too much design element in the suit or the blouse could have overwhelmed you, but both are perfect in terms of proportion and the way they bring some visual interest to your face (the soft frills of the neckline — GREAT pop of bold, strong color and not too much frill) and hands (bit o’ cuff design) — both nice areas of focus for a preacher. The neutral color is great for all seasons, and your shoes are professional, attractive, smart and — I’m guessing — reasonably comfortable.
Most important, you look beautiful, confident, polished, and every bit the religious leader. All of us in the BTFM community wish you and your husband blessings on your ministries and a wonderful and healthy time of preparation for your bambino. Thank you so much for sharing the photos. Kiss of peace, “Auntie PB”
Love this post- she accomplished something that is not easy, authoritative and feminine at the same time. Blessings on the new baby!
I love this! great color, and the cut of the suit is gorgeous. nicely done!
