These are tacky, right? Or am I just being a boring old lady?
I don’t like the pink polish with the gold.
The blue with the rings is at least a LOOK. I can see someone making this work, I think.
And then I just revert to my first impression which is that this trend is tacky. Maybe with non-polished nails and hammered silver rings, I could dig it. A Boho look. I can see that. But this bright nail polish with these rings looks silly and juvenile to me. Thoughts?
They must be forgetful gals to be tying strings to their fingers like that.
Not necesssarily tacky, just very young.
Color me confused. What is the point of these? And how do they not fall off (unless they are extraordinarily tight, in which case how are they not incredibly uncomfortable)? Don’t people have to USE their hands these days? I mean, even if you aren’t a farmer by trade, you gotta type now and then…
One of my parishioners has severe arthritis, and has cool metal splints for her fingers that look like interconnected rings, one of which is above the knuckle. Looked at as pure fashion, it is slightly tacky, but less so than those (and good Lord, the color of the nails!) But the splints have a purpose–they keep her fingers from getting gnarled.
It makes me think, “Find some rings that fit, already!” I have big hands, so plenty of pretty rings don’t fit on my fingers. Therefore, I don’t buy them…
For those whose middle knuckles have swollen from arthritis or old injuries it is the only way they can still wear treasured rings.

I love it! It is youthful, vibrant and fun. Why put it down? There should be room for creativity and color. No harm, no foul, I say.
It COULD look like something off My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding…..if the rest of the package is there. Otherwise, I want to say I’ve seen rings like this in very old (Renaissance and before) paintings of ladies. Then there’s what Anne mentions which I could totally see, but then I doubt we’d have those nail colors.

Hmm – I like these. Not the polish, but I like the look in pictures. I’ll have to try one (or two) for myself and see how I like it “in person.”
