I just love hearing from creative pigeons with nice things to say and nice recommendations to share.

I remember that not too long ago one of your readers asked about a place to take art classes integrating art and theology/religion/etc. I remembered a place that was hugely interesting to me, but have been unable to remember until this morning (isn’t memory interesting?); however, I can’t find the original post and so am writing directly to you in case you know and have desire and time to respond there. The place is the Grunewald Guild out in the eastern plains of Washington State (not easy for the east coasters…..) but at the very least the website and the vision are hugely engaging. www.grunewaldguild.com

I love Grunewald Guild! I’ve been there twice for a total of three weeks and found it wonderfully restorative and engaging. Travel for me from Tampa Bay is a challenge so I haven’t been back for a couple of years. But hope to again.
WOW.
My former sister-in-law’s mother- and father-in-law used to run Grunewald Guild (confusing?). So glad to see positive things about it – I never went, but always loved hearing about it. And the post spurred me to write a note to my former sister-in-law. Nice connection! [yay! – PB]
I have taught at the Guild and visit there regularly for renewal. It is a wonderful place with incredible studio spaces.
I have worked with art, the creative process and theology for thirty years now. Check out my website at http://www.artofrenewal.org
