Kitten Heels!

Darlings,
Some of you were bemoaning the lack of kitten heels in the shoe selections for the fall, and Susan sent me this helpful alert on your behalf:

Hi, PB, not a question, but an alert. On the thread regarding current styles (or was it the shoe issue?) someone was bemoaning the lack of kitten heels in stores. Just saw some yesterday at DSW, by MIA, kitten heel pumps in croc texture, black, brown and grey.

Also, dear hearts, for heaven’s sake GOOGLE! You can find practically anything for sale on Amazon or ebay by using simple keyword searches.

Enjoy your shoes, kittens!

  1. I have to give a plug for Zappos. To be honest, they aren’t always the cheapest place for shoes; if you compare prices on a given brand and style of shoe, they’re often smack in the middle of the pricerange. However, their customer service is UNBEATABLE.

Typically, I would never, ever buy shoes online; comfort, fit, style, and other factors are all too finicky to deal with buying online. With Zappos, there is free shipping both ways (free OVERNIGHT shipping if you’re a VIP member, which I am, and which you can upgrade to for free) and no return fees. Basically, you pay for the shoe to try it on. But if it doesn’t work, you return it for free, no harm, no foul (except for that money quickly nipped out of your bank account, and nipped back in). When I was hunting down peep toe shoes for my wedding, Zappos was a GODSEND. I was having real trouble finding shoes I liked, and I honestly ordered shoes at least five times from them. Their selection is great, the search function is exhaustive, and the free shipping means that I can buy-and-try without any extra money wasted. For me, it’s the best way to buy shoes online.

And those kitten heels? ADORABLE. Love the classic color and style with the croc texture flair.

  2. The other benefit of Zappos is the ability to search by heel height, among other qualities. Very helpful when you want something specific.
