DEAREST U.K. Readers,
I am in love with these shoes:
They are Fly London Yogo boots. I want them in black leather (not patent). I wear a size 37. I cannot find them in the U.S. — all the web sites are sold out of my size.
Are these easy to find in the U.K. If so, will you let me know? I will pay you for s&H, or perhaps you can arrange for me to purchase them directly from a shop.
Let me know. Thanks.

Have you tried:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_15?url=search-alias%3Dshoes&field-keywords=fly+london+yogo+shoes&sprefix=Fly+London+Yogo
They might be your best and safest bet!
(Although, aren’t these just a higher-heeled version of the shoes you often warn against? 🙂
Or, have you tried:

(I do think you buying direct is better and safer, in case there’s a problem with the product.)
I want some too. Am on a search myself. I need a 42. I saw them in purple which I would take in a sec. But black leather would be my second choice. I’m watching for shopping reports here!
Please–keep an eye on the link I gave in my first response. I really think Amazon is going to be your best bet. Even if they don’t have your size now (a 37 is a UK 4, which is my size. I have no idea what a 42 would be!), they should be able to let you know when/if they’ll get more.
Personally, I don’t know why I’m helping people to locate a shoe I wouldn’t be caught dead in–but PB hates my ElNaturaListas, so I suppose it’s fair.
Yeesh.. I don’t like them either.
But I can see how, with the right dress pant, these would be a lot less frumpy than other shoes. With a skirt.. I don’t see how they work, except that they’re better than most Mary Jane styles with a nicer angle. The platform’s a bit much for me though.
Look like they might work with jeans but otherwise I don’t get it…I think they would cut the leg line and make a big chunk of foot.
I know! I thought they were cute when I looked at them, but when I tried them on, the cut was magic. I didn’t look like I had hooves! I think something about the way the strap has a slight V to it that keeps it from cutting the leg off and stumpifying. They’re also incredibly comfy and I would wear them pretty much every day. My other black go-to shoes are all boots or Olive Oily MJ’s.
@WendyInEngland – which Elnaturalistas do you have? I like a lot of their styles! Plus, making shoes with cork – brilliant idea!
I have three–this one, which really I only wear with cargos or jeans:

This, which is my favourite (mine is green, though):

And the one in the upper-left (012), but they don’t have it in stock, so they don’t have a bigger picture:

(mine is purple).
I really couldn’t wear the wedge on the London Fly ones–with bad balance and depth perception, heels more than two inches are absolutely out! And soft wedges are worse than heels, because they’re too tricky to balance on cobblestones.
Remember that in buying from the UK, you will possibly pay a STEEP shipping charge (one site I looked at was £25), because of customs clearance–and that doesn’t mean you won’t have to pay customs in advance of receiving them.
If you’ve tried on a pair, can you ask the shop where you tried them to order the colour/material you want? It may not take a whole lot more time to special order than it would to order from the UK, and it may be a lot less hassle.
Okay, try http://www.rawshoe.com, who look like they ship to the US (I’m only guessing, as they price in $US as well as £ and Euros…)

Thanks, PB–just what I need, more shoes to covet. I’m not nuts about this particular style, but on Amazon they have about half a dozen other styles I love.
I have really wide feet–how do you think they’d work? They look like they are nicely shaped for an actual foot unlike so many shoes.
I have these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=270560131940
That I got about 2 summers ago, and they are great. The square toe is a little choppy, but I do wear them with casual skirts. And I can walk for MILES in them. Took these and the green ElNaturalistas on a trip involving a lot of walking about a week after I bought them, no blisters, no bad stuff at all.
ooohhh, those ARE fly! i hope you get some.
Want!
I’ve been noodling around the internet and there are a few in the U.S., but only in particular sizes and usually not mine, which is a very common one (size 8 – usually a European 39 though it varies). Also, I don’t like the patent leather ones, so I want the one in the picture. PB, let me know where you find them and how it goes.
I really like these.
I’d probably wear ’em in the pulpit, too.
[I did buy them at the end of August and I love them. I got the black leather. They’re worth the price. I wear them all the time and they give me tons of height and no foot problems. I can wear them all day and stand around in them. I got mine from PlanetShoes.com and they delivered very quickly. Big thumbs up. – PB]
