At first, I was like, “DIRTY SEXY MINISTRY?” OH NO.
And then I saw their photo — two young female priests holding martini glasses, and I was like, “Oh DOUBLE to the NO.” I thought it was shocking. ME! PeaceBang!
This just shows that I’m getting old, darlings. Old and prim.
And then I read a few of their entries, like this one, and I was like, “I love these gals!!”
They’re from Louisiana.
They’re priests.
And all I can say to those folks who think I’M edgy for a clergy blogger is “HEY, I’m a Unitarian Universalist! We’re supposed to be edgy!”
But these gals are the real deal.
They make me want to fly down to Louisiana and listen to the gaters mating and sip a martooni (or at least have brunch at that adorable restaurant in Breaux Bridge) and laugh and laugh and laugh.
They are the second young female clergy pal team I’ve met from the Deep South who are way more radical in their own way than any of these here Northern liberal feminists we got up here.
And I love that!
Read their blog. Subscribe. Enjoy. This, my friends, is the future of the ministry.
Bring it on!!
And Mary and Laurie, thanks for writing to me and letting me know you were out there. Keep writing, and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t or shouldn’t. It’s called public ministry, darlings, and it’s part of the Body of Christ. You ministered to me today, God bless you both.

Thanks for sharing this, PB. The holy Week/Wholly Weak entry was great, too. Perfect for a day when I’m thinking “Three down, three to go…”
These gals are AWESOME.
Love it.
