Tiny Tippy-Poo For Jeans

Honey heads,

First of all, thank you so much for steering me toward e-bay, where I have just aquired my dream watch for $88 instead of $500!! How did I do that? Well, the seller was asking $188 (that includes s&h) and I had $100 saved up in my PayPal account already. Wow! I will think of BTFM and you all every time I put on my beautiful watch (btw, for those of you who are worried about the quality of Coach products, Movado makes their watches).

Now, for the teeny tip: if you care about keeping your nice, dark denim jeans looking nice and dark (much classier than washed out denim), wash them inside-out.

  1. Isn’t eBay awesome? I’ve gotten seriously marked down, BRAND NEW clothing from places like Anthropologie. Instead of paying $149 for their beautiful skirts, I’ve paid $40 or maybe $50. eBay is great if you’ve already tried the thing on but want to pay Marshall’s or Ross prices.

  2. Searching recently closed auctions is a good way to get a fair price for items you buy used locally, too. That’s how I knew to budget $350 for a used laptop that met my specs.

    XOXO Caro.

  4. Even better than washing them inside out (though do that, too) is to drip-dry them. Put clothes in the dryer ages/fades/wears them very quickly. Your clothes will look better longer and last longer if you air dry.

  6. Congrats on the watch!

Not to brag (ok, maybe this is a brag) I have perhaps the best ebay find of all time:

burberry nova plaid raincoat, size 10 petite, for 58$ plus shipping. I was the only bidder. I almost felt bad for the seller.

  7. Also, Rit Dye for your machine does wonders for revitalizing the jeans you did not save in time. Of course, always remember to follow the directions precisely. No one wants to have their machine be a lovely color of blue-gray forever.
