This just in: I hate the Missoni for Target line.
I don’t like the women’s stuff:

And I don’t like the men’s accessories (and that sweater should be punished for being a crime against my eyes):
Sometimes I really appreciate a bold print as an accent accessory but not in this case. It’s like an old-school television test pattern. Those of you who are too young to know what that looks like, carry on.

The women’s stuff like looks like old afghans. Not in a good way.
We just don’t use this word often enough anymore: “dreadful”.
Wow. That’s just … words fail me. Could those outfits possibly be more unflattering to those poor models? I’m sure they could, I just can’t think how off-hand.
Also, I can understand matching your accessories to your outfit (although I thought too much matching was out of fashion?). But not when the outfit is as dreadful as those are.
Blech. Reminds me of the designer on Project Runway right now from Colorado. Don’t like her stuff either.
WOW!!! Just WOW. I don’t mean that in a nice way either.
Don’t the models’ faces say it all, “I just know you’re going to laugh at how ugly this is and how ridiculous I look.” ? Frankly, I’m old enough that I remember this trend the first time through in the 70’s and it was ugly then. Cindy is right–the look is right for an afghan, but they’re prettier.
The men’s sweater is going to have guys all over the country rummaging around for their old Cosby Show sweaters — regardless of the fact that they may have *ahem* put on a few pounds since bold patterned men’s sweaters were in vogue. Fall and winter ain’t gonna be pretty…
Well, OK, you have to be super-young, skinny and too hip to care. Not for me. But I can’t help loving this stuff. What I really want are the home accessories.
When even the *models* can’t look happy about things they’re only going to wear for two minutes; friends, you’ve got some serious awful going on.
Somebody’s lusting after their grandmother’s hippie chick duds.
Sorry. It was bad enough the first time around.
This afghan/native american blanket look is in at Ralphlauren.com too. It looks a littler better on his site but still it looks like the models are wearing blankets.
Hmmm. Maybe it would be okay if there was a little *less* of it. Like, wear the headband. OR carry the bag. Not both. And, *don’t* wear the clothes.

This is the link to Missoni’s video introducing their line at Target. Actually some of the other clothes & accessories look OK.
