Because you're in the public eye, and God knows you need to look good.

Saw this the other day – LOVE IT! I actually started singing along in my office 🙂
Wow. I’m actually weeping in the office. Mums and toddlers in the main hall looking at me with a little concern!
wonderful, marvelous….
And….cue the tears. Why is this so powerful?
I hope you don’t mind I posted it on my profile on Facebook, it’s wonderful.
ummm.. could someone point the lady in the fuzzy pink sweater to PB, please? She needs some help…
I’ve watched it three times now, and cried every single time!
Dear Heather,
I kind of fell in love with that woman and her fabulously awful sweater. After a few seconds I decided that I loved it! She’s like a big muppet!
Awesomesauce.
As always, one of the most powerful pieces of music in Western culture. My reaction to the opening bars of the intro was visceral– spine snapped to attention, chin went up, and tummy muscles automatically expanded for maximum air intake. Gracious, I’ve been in choral music for a long time. Just glad I stopped myself in time from bursting forth fortissimo. You’re supposed to be QUIET in the library!
Thanks, PB!
If this were Facebook I would “like” PaganBuddy’s comment. And if I’d been in Macy’s that day and unaware this was going to happen, I think I would have been singing along, from memory, within eight bars!
On the Sunday after Thanksgiving I gave a sermon entitled, “Department Stores and Other Sacred Places.” It was about finding the sacred in the everyday. The sermon title was chosen three months ahead for the newsletter and the choir. When I saw this video my jaw dropped. It was so perfect that instead of a reading from sacred scripture that morning we projected this onto the sanctuary. The congregation seemed to like it. Some teared up and others sang along. It contributed to a great worship experience. Thanks, PB!
