  1. In “The Women” Joan Crawford turns to a room full of women and says something like, “There’s a word that describes women like you but it is usually only appropriate in a kennel.” She then exits. Sorry, that photo compelled me to repeat that line. [Just saw that wonderful film again the other night. GREAT screenplay, great performances! – PB]

  2. Elegant to feed a pet at the table while dressed like the Flying Nun or the evil queen in Snow White? This might be a great old flick to enjoy in an air conditioned bunker this summer, but I’m not sold on taking either table manner or fashion advice from it. We’ve already endured a rerun of the shoulder pads than made us resemble football players. [honey, try to get a sense of humor and irony if you’re gonna hang out at BTFM, it will make life a lot easier, and a lot more fun for the rest of us. – PB]
