When Clothing Isn’t Just Clothing, It’s a MOVEMENT

PeaceBang has become increasingly alarmed by clothing and cosmetics companies that treat their products like a religion.

Such as this, where I am invited to think about WHO I AM and WHAT MOVES ME before I see the clothes I might buy.

Cripes, ladies and gentlemen of the Nau marketing division! Why don’t you leave the Big Questions to us people in the religion biz and just, um, you know, make some good clothes that might fit us and that we can afford?
Just speaking as a woman of the (organic cotton) cloth, that is.

I’m practically fainting from the seriousness of it all! Whoo, it’s gettin’ deep up in here!

PeaceBangers, you are invited to send in links to the most self-important Cosmetics/Shoes/Clothing As Pseudo-Religion sites you can find. The winner gets a free Chapstick.

  1. Oh, I hear ya. And the painfully self-consciously artsy web site, the extra time needed to load the images therein. Bah. Bore me later, Nau.

  2. You need to put a warning on that ugly shoe website. I am traumatized. I need to goto the Macy’s shoe department now to treat my PTSD.
