Beauty Tips for Ministers
Because you're in the public eye, and God knows you need to look good.
Thanks For Sharing
June 30, 2006 on 1:47 am | In General Assembly/Conferences | This isn’t a minister; or at least I don’t think it is.
It’s a lay delegate to our General Assembly. Therefore, she can sit like this.
You can’t.
You’re at a professional gathering, not on the porch enjoying a glass of CountryTime lemonade.

Peacebang, I think your blog was mentioned on NPR’s All Things Considered today! Check out this story by a first year female minister at http://www.npr.org/templates/
story/story.php?storyId=5522718.
She didn’t mention “Beauty Tips for Ministers” by name *but* she did refer to several conversations that have been had at this site!!!

I just heard that All Things Considered story on the way home today. I listened intently for mention of this site, but I couldn’t be sure if it came up. Interesting subject matter nonetheless!
Maybe someone can email Meredith and ask her.

While allowances can be made for relieving a swollen leg or foot or an injury, there are ways to do so that leave less of an ick factor. I concurr with the disapproving Church Lady face.

Amen to the bare feet propped up at a meeting.
I got a call from someone thinking I was the reference on the NPR thing. However, I thoUGHT it was you. Could be Cheesehead though.

From one who suffer from multiple foot/ankle ailments, what are the acceptable ways to relieve a foot injury or swollen ankle? As a southerner who regularly leaves her pasty legs and feet uncovered in the summer heat, I don’t want to offend; but what is the most tasteful way to elevate one’s feet?
