Summer Make-Up

Because the question of how to wear make-up over good sun protection comes up ALL the time and I’ve never done the video I keep promising — I finally did it!

The Skinceuticals product I am using is this. I tend to burn no matter what I use, so I’m constantly on the look-out for advanced formulae that actually protect me even if I don’t reapply every half hour, because who ever remembers to do that?

Here’s a post I did on this exact same subject last year at this time.

  1. this was a really helpful video – I haven’t been letting the sun block set – I can see why that it’s important – I was just at the dermatologist’s – he told me that more people have skin cancers or other skin damage on the left side of their faces – why? – driving – rays can go through car windows – so even if you are not directly in the sun you need sunblock

  2. I love that tinted sunblock from Skinceuticals. I didn’t consider that it might make me look shiny though. [No, that one doesn’t! I mean, it doesn’t get shiny on me. Other kinds often do, though. – PB]

I can’t find an eye cream that I can tolerate (my eyes get bloodshot and swell towards closed). It is too expensive an item for me to experiment much with different kinds.

Thanks for all the good advice. Can we have a video of you playing with the dog? [Awww! He’s such an adorable little nut. We’re SO glad it’s cooled down. – PB]

  3. I use this stuff, too. It’s expensive but seems to last a long time.
And I wear scarves around my neck and hats.
