When you are thinking of these things again, wisdom on Mother of the Groom stuff? It is less than a month away. I’ll be dealing with what to wear starting July 1st, when I’m done with work. Summer, Kansas, Roman Catholic Church (right, I am NOT officiating!) with rehearsal dinner, wedding, and me dealing with being in co-parents role with Ex-hubby-forever-father.

When your life allows….
What’s a minister2b 2wear when she meets with her Regional Subcommittee On Candidacy? I first thought of a suit of some sort for this August interview in the S.F. Bay Area, but then I thought that would be way too serious, too overreaching, and too hot. So I looked at my over 40 body and scanned my wardrobe of clothes for my current career (college prof) and I froze in fright. My wardrobe is filled with severe suits, skirts and jackets for autumn and winter, too many funky, I’m-on-a-date skirts.
I’m panicked because though I’m athletic and rather fit, I’m on a medication that’s caused me to grow saddlebags. I’ve a size 6 waist and B cup, so given this scenario, very little of what I have fits – save my empire waist romantic dresses.
Help! I’ve seldom found pants that fit my small waist and hips, and athletic legs and derriere — even before I took this medication. I want to look fashionable, hip, yet ministerial. What’s a late 40’s gal to do?
Hugs to you and Sweetie Bang,

And we want to know what you thought about Michelle Obama’s dress on her recent The View appearance! [I thought she looked beautiful! But I hate that the media cares so much where she got it and how much it cost! – PB]
My word! Do you offer sartorial advice to choral vicars too? I do hope so!
I just scored some serious linen separates on major sale at my dear employer, Macy’s — to wear at my other employer, First UU in Burlington, while I labor in their archives over the summer. Sufficiently tailored but COOOOL in the humidity.
