Kim, I'm with you -- it isn't so much that I hated Aidan as I could just see he didn't *get* Carrie. He was trying to change her, quiet her -- a waste of rare energy in this world. I rooted for Big all along because he did get her. He was a commitment-phobic person, as was she, and they were both totally afraid of what would happen to them when they hitched their respective energies. Big didn't want to subject her to the Aidan treatment, and I salute him for that. He just should have given himself more credit for being able to support her as she needed. None of them dressed to their best, IMHO.

I HATED Aiden (I think he was a control freak who didn't understand Carrie at all). And I was glad when they broke up. But what SATC really showed was that just because a guy was not right for one of the women, it didn't mean he was a bad guy. On to the fashions tho.....I think SJP looks great. The hat is perfect; and so Carrie. Somebody needed to do something with Kristen Davis; that dress is just so wrong there are no words to describe how wrong it is. Cynthia Nixon looks ok....but I think she would have looked better in a different color, like a royal blue or hunter green. And I like Kim Cattrall's dress, I just think she should have done something different with her shoes. We've never watched episodes together, but we've all seen all six (?) seasons on our own, and used to meet for happy hour every month for about a year. Interestingly enough, we each had a corresponding character on the show. (Can you guess who I was?). One of my friends, is so much like Miranda, that she even LOOKS like Miranda. Like you, I NEVER trusted Mr. Big. And even tho it looks like the movie is about Carrie and Big marrying, I STILL don't trust Mr. Big. I totally preferred Aidan, but am glad that he found someone else who was a better fit for him. I also totally cried when Samantha dumped Smith and went upstairs to do the nasty with that stupid man, and after she felt like dirt and came downstairs in tears, the elevator doors opened and Smith was standing there, waiting for her.
