Doesn't solve the ball of the foot problem though. Thin flexible soles are a recipe for foot pain especially in the city -- one does need a layer between the foot and the pavement. (Hence the Danskos in some of our lives.) Still, it's a great, great idea. Love it. And Love the Italian connection. Of course.
