Bumble & Bumble also makes a fabulous hair powder for brunettes, blondes, and redheads that absorbs the oil from your hair and even makes your hair fluffy! LOVE IT--winner of best product in an emergency situation!

Even better than powder, for those of us with dark hair and a fear of claggy white residue, is the old fashioned method (read 1920's-1940's) of a "friction". This entails taking a brand clean 100% cotton towel, and rubbing the hair between your hands in the towel. Pay particular attention to the front and sides, which tend to get dirtiest. Rub and pull gently with new towel surfaces for a few minutes, changing area of towel frequently.

Comb, and amazingly, looks much, much cleaner. The towel is ready for the wash, with its light coating of oil and dirt no longer on your hair! Doesn't disturb styling either.

KJR, that's what I thought, but I JUST READ that being all chilly and having low body temp can make it easier to catch a virus, and since I was on my way to church I wanted to be careful.

I've heard that "catching a chill" is an myth, evidently we don't get sick without germs or a virus. You can, I guess, make an illness worse. Of course being cold and damp is unpleasant and there is good reason not to want to prolong a cold shower even in the peak of health!
