Flip-flops are evil.
Even the cats know it.

But Peacebang, even you said I have cute toes…
Did you notice I didn’t wear the flip flops even once more after that day of joyful flaunting?
I love my flip flops but only wear them in the house, or on my grungiest errands.
The truth is, if I could have my way, I’d go barefoot all the time. But somehow I don’t think you’d go for that either.
I’ll try to behave, but it’s really hard.

You DO have cute toes! Actually, all of you cuties I met that night more than passed the Cute Toe Review. I still hate the ‘flops, though — although to be truthful, I hate ‘em a lot more on women than on boys in shorts.

Rats! The NY Times says we can wear flip flops everywhere even on the red carpet when our movie premieres and at work in our big offices.
No more flipflops?

What about crocs? (http://www.crocs.com) Orthotically correct; oddly fashionable with Khakis, shorts, or jeans; and all the toes covered *and* aired. What could be better?

I’m sitting here in Brookline, not wearing flip-flops, and wanting your advice for my hosts, who are considering sampling some UU churches. Where shall we send them?
(Also I’m just tickled that knitblogger/prof Anne of Creating Text(iles) pointed you out to me ~ as are at least two good friends who are Episcopal priests!)

Brett, NO CROCS!! They look like weird gardening clogs!! NO CROCS! NO CROCS! NO CROCS!
Maggi, there’s a UU church in Brookline that may or may not have summer services, and one in Cambridge that I *know* has summer services in their chapel. You could hop on the T to attend that one.
King’s Chapel is a beautiful, very historic church in the city off the Park Street T with a high Anglican liturgy and a Unitarian theology… First Church in Boston is a nice stroll from the Copley T station….
send me an e-mail with your phone number and I can help you more specifically : lunadiva@msn.com
We hope you do visit some UU churches!!

What about Steve Madden platform flipflops that look niceish?
I’m willing to call them sandals?
Ok, I can’t find a picture of them on Zappos, which suggests that SM isn’t making them any more because they are out of style.
Don’t you love it when your readers save you time and answer their own questions?

hmm.. I have to say I agree with you, although being a ‘Mo might have something to do with it.
On a boy in shorts or even jeans Flip-flops look cute. But buy some made of natural fabirc, or at least natural looking fabirc. No blue plastic or anything.
On women I get a whole other vibe.. not neccesarily a bad one but it doesn’t look as “young or fresh” on women as it does men
